Liz or Edd Ashby or "Leather Thorns & Roses" always found their comfort in art. They drew everyday to show the many thoughts and creations their mind created ever since they were small. They mainly enjoyed drawing their favorite characters from media until one eventful day where he sat there and thought... "Hey what if I made my own characters?" So he did which created our main story here S- The Dreamcatchers..? Oh right- Originally Somnium City was called The Dreamcatchers! Due to little Edd seeing a dreamcatcher hanging on the wall, that became the first name of the story "The Dreamcatchers." The name hung around until Edd was in his Jr year of Highschool and thought the name didn't fit the story anymore... so then after researching a specific word we got the now named Somnium City! The characters and story have changed quite a lot overtime, due to Somnium City now being a story being worked on for ten years by one person, these characters have more than one story from their past :]

Edd consumed a lot of media that his brain got attached to so his favorite thing to do when his hyperfixations kept him from focusing on the main story was adding his Sc characters into those sets of media! So keep watch for references :]

Edd always struggled to figure out if he wanted to start on Somnium City as a Graphic Novel or an animation but due to mental complications and personal life issues, he thought it would be easier to start on it as a graphic novel, Edd did love to animate but it was too time consuming for him and he struggled to really get any help for it but who may know, Somnium City might be animated in the future :]
